International Medical Surgical Response Team

IMSURT West is a trained team of medical specialist and support personnel who deploy with a free standing field hospital to provide advanced medical and surgical care to individuals in a disaster setting.

  We are located on the West coast and are one of three teams in the US the others being IMSURT East (Boston) and IMSURT South (Miami). These teams are a cooperative effort between NDMS (National Disaster Medical System) and the Department of State. Our specialties include Trauma/General Surgeons, Burn/Orthopedic surgeons, Pediatrics/OBGYN and Emergency MD's, PA's and NP's. ED/ICU/OR/Acute Care RN's, Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, Paramedics, EMT's and Mental Health professionals, as well as support personnel for engineering, communication, lab and X-ray.
