International Medical Surgical Response Team

IMSuRT-West is a specialized team of highly trained personnel and is equipped to establish a fully capable free-standing field surgical unit anywhere in the world. We are one of three surgical teams in the USA. The other two are IMSuRT East from Boston and IMSuRT South from Miami. These teams are a cooperative effort between the National Disaster Medical System and the Department of State. We are a  volunteer organization comprised of Doctors, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Lab Technicians, Paramedics, EMT/Firefighters and other non-medical personnel.
