2006 Communications Academy Handouts

FL-1 DMAT communications trailer was not allowed to deploy with the team because it is not a federal asset. IMSuRT-W Commo Matt Hickey and FL-1 DMAT Commo Troy Dunphy (pictured) set up the communications office in a Toyota van. We had JT-1000, XTS-3000 radios, M4 and Mitsubishi satellite phones, Computer with printer, charging station, satellite radio, HF, VHF, UHF personal ham radio communications, DVD player, and air conditioning. At night we set up stretchers between the front and rear seats for a pretty comfortable sleeping arrangement.
